Enzyme Drain Cleaner (AFCO 4416) is a non-corrosive, non-toxic liquid drain cleaner which is designed to open drains, drain lines, and floor drains in food processing plants and restaurants. AFCO 4416 is a blend of enzymes and bacteria which liquefy and digest the organic matter such as grease, fat, oil, protein, and starch typically found in drains and drain lines in food processing facilities. The bacteria blend found in AFCO 4416 includes microbes which were specifically selected because of their high rate of production of enzymes which rapidly degrade the organic wastes that are found in drains and drain lines. In addition to the bacteria blend, AFCO 4416 contains a stable effective enzyme system designed to improve the liquefaction and digestion of organic wastes in drains. It is effective at temperatures ranging from 38 to 145o F (3.3 to 63°C). It does not contain any solvents, caustic, acids, or nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE’s).
