I am writing to certify that Caustic Soda 50% FG (AFCO 0533), distributed by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 0533 meets the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) requirements for food grade 50% sodium hydroxide (caustic soda).

AFCO 0533 can also be used as a general cleaning compound for food processing equipment. Equipment washed with solutions of AFCO 0533 shall be subjected to a thorough rinse of potable water before processing is resumed.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 0533 will have no adverse effects on the foods being processed.
