I am writing to certify that TR-537 LC (AFCO 0537), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Ave., Chambersburg PA, 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations. AFCO 0537 meets the requirements of 21 CFR173.310 Boiler Water Treatment Additives.

All the ingredients used in AFCO 0537 are listed in 21 CFR 173.310.

AFCO 0537 is intended for use as an alkaline cleaning compound. Equipment washed with solutions of AFCO 0537, shall be subjected to a thorough rinse with potable water before processing can begin.

AFCO 0537 may be added to water used to cook and cool containers of meat and poultry products to prevent staining of containers and to control corrosion and deposit formation.

AFCO 0537 can also be used to treat boilers, steam lines, where the steam produced may contact edible products and/or cooling systems where the treated water may not contact edible products.

AFCO 0537 is formulated only with ingredients listed in 7 CFR 205.605 of the National Organic Program. As such, AFCO 0537 is acceptable as a boiler water treatment additive for use in organic food production facilities where the steam produced may contact organic food or food contact surfaces.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 0537 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.

AFCO 0537 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
