I am writing to certify that Super Defoamer (AFCO 1072), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 1072 meets the requirements of 21 CFR 173.340 Defoaming Agents and 21 CFR 172. 808 Copolymers Condensates of Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide and can be used as a poultry scald additive.

AFCO 1072 is intended for use in egg washing machines to control foam. Eggs washed in water containing AFCO 1072 shall be subjected to a thorough rinse of warm potable water containing an accepted sanitizer.

AFCO 1072 can also be used for cleaning food contact equipment. Equipment washed with solutions containing AFCO 1072 shall be subjected to a thorough rinse with potable water before processing is resumed.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 1072 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.
