I am writing to certify that Green Denaturant (AFCO 4382), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 4382 is intended for denaturing carcasses and poultry carcasses, parts thereof, poultry products and meat and meat food products intended for purposes other than human food. AFCO 4382 must be deposited in all portions of the carcass or product to the extent necessary to prevent its use for food purposes.

AFCO 4382 does not contain citronella and does not meet the description of crude carbolic acid or cresylic disinfectant.

AFCO 4382 contains ingredients generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the US FDA and a dye that is commonly used in food.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 4382 will have no adverse effects on the foods being processed.

AFCO 4382 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
