I am writing to certify that Liquid Egg Terge (AFCO 5243), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 5243 is intended for use as a shell egg cleaning compound. Eggs that have been washed with solutions containing AFCO 5243 shall be immediately subjected to a thorough rinse with warm potable water containing an accepted sanitizer.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 5243 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.
