I am writing to certify that AFCO 0532, distributed by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 0532 is a blend of food grade caustic soda and food grade caustic potash which meets the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) test requirements for food grade Sodium Hydroxide (caustic soda) and food grade Potassium Hydroxide (caustic potash).

AFCO 0532 can also be used as a general cleaning compound for food processing equipment. Equipment washed in solutions containing AFCO 0532 shall be subjected to a thorough rinse of potable water before processing is resumed.

AFCO 0532 per FSIS Directive 7120.1 Rev. 45 is suitable as a pH control agent in water used in poultry and red meat processing.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 0532 will have no adverse effects on the foods being processed.
