I am writing to certify that Clearitas (AFCO 4201), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 4201 is acceptable for use in meat, poultry, and other food processing areas as a chlorine water treatment product when used according to label directions and use limitations.

When used at the recommended potable water treatment concentration, AFCO 4201 is acceptable for batching and/or processing meat ingredients. Solutions containing AFCO 4201 at the recommended use concentration is able to contact finished/RTE product without issue.

AFCO 4201 is also registered by the NSF as Standard 60 for deposit control in drinking and process water.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 4201 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.
