I am writing to certify that TR-117 BWT (AFCO 9561), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations pertaining to food additives and may be used for applications covered under 21 CFR 173.310 Boiler Water Treatment Additives.

All the ingredients used in AFCO 9561 are listed in 21 CFR 173.310.

AFCO 9561 is acceptable for use in dairies, meat, poultry, and other food processing areas as a boiler treatment product for treating boiler and steam lines where the steam produced may contact edible products.

AFCO 9561 is approved for use in USDA inspected plants.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 9561 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.

AFCO 9561 is formulated with only non-volatile compounds that will not carry over into steam under normal operating conditions and ingredients listed in 7 CFR 205.605 of the National Organic Program. As such, AFCO 9561 is acceptable as a boiler water treatment additive for use in organic food production facilities where the steam produced may contact organic food or food contact surfaces.

AFCO 9561 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
